Niru Gupta took up cooking as a hobby but was soon
enthused by the art of cookery. She featured regularly on Star
Plus on a popular show called "Meri Saheli" and prior
to that, was the host for a television serial, Khana Khazana.
She has also authored nine books - Cook, My Dear;
Everyday Indian; Cooking the U.P way; No
Onion - No Garlic; Vrat Ka Khaana; Microwave
Indian Cookbook; Weightloss Cookbook; Handbook
of Western Cookery and Pashchimi Paak Pranali. She
has contributed to cookery columns in Femina, Savvy, Upper
Crust and Sakhi. She has been an in house chef for Ndtvcooks
and demonstrated recipes for the Channel from time to time.
Ms Gupta also conducts cookery demonstration classes.
Travelling is another passion with her and shares her
experiences by writing travelogues.
Her recipes are known for
being easy-to-make and delicious. |
