Kele Ki Sabzi (Vrat)

  • Raw bananas peeled and diced 2
  • Ajwain (thymol seeds) 1 tsp
  • Ghee (Clarified butter) 1/4 cup (60 g)
  • Sabut lal mirch 2
  • Senda namak (rock salt) 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp, or to taste
  • Hara dhania (Coriander leaves) for garnish, optional


  • Heat oil in a heavy based pan and add ajwain and sabut mirch.
  • When mirch darkens a bit, add banana and turn around over high heat till all the pieces are coated with oil.

  • Lower heat, add salt, and let cook, covered, till tender but still holds its shape.

  • Mix in lemon juice and serve garnished with hara dhania.
