Chhaina Rabri

  • Paneer 150 g
  • Full cream milk 5 cups (1 ltr)
  • Chhoti Elaichi crushed a little 4
  • Kesar   1/8 tsp
  • Sugar cup or to taste
  • Almonds, shredded thin (lenghtwise) 6


  • Crumble the paneer and keep aside.
  • Boil the milk in a large pan and cook till about half the quantity is left.

  • Add the sugar and simmer till dissolved.

  • Add the elaichi and kesar, and keeping the heat high add the paneer.

  • Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Take off the heat and cool.

  • Refrigerate to chill, garnish with almonds and serve.
