Hariyali Paneer

Paneer marinated in a spicy green masala and pan fried

Type: Snacks Serving: 4 Cooking Time: 20 minutes after marinating


  • Green Masala (Below) 1 quantity
  • Paneer 1/2 kg
  • Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Green Masala
  • ( A masala that can be made and refrigerated for quick use. Good for about a kilo of vegetables or paneer)
  • Hara dhania (Coriander leaves) chopped    3/4 cup (40g)
  • Green chillies, roughly chopped 2-3
  • Ginger, chopped 2 tsp
  • Sabut kali mirch (peppercorns) 6
  • Laung ( cloves) 6
  • Dalchini (cinnamon), powdered 1/4 tsp
  • Sendha namak (white rock salt) 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Grind the ingredients together.


  • Cut the paneer into desired sized pieces and marinate in the masala for 30 minutes or so.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and just before serving, pan fry the paneer on both sides over high heat, till light brown, and serve.
