A simple soup with almonds |

Ingredients

Almonds, blanched and peeled : 50 g (¼ cup)

Butter : 2 tbsp. (30 g)
-
Flour (Maida) : 4 tbsp. (30 g)

Water : 4 cups
-
Milk : ½ cup (120 g)
-
Salt to taste or : 2 tsp (10 g)

Black pepper (Kali Mirch), freshly powdered : ¼ tsp (1 g)

Cream : 4 tbsp ( 60 g)

Preparation

Chop half the almonds fine and blend the rest with the milk in a blender.
Melt butter and sauté the chopped almonds till lightly fried.
Add flour and sauté till an aroma emanates.
Add water gradually stirring all the time so no lumps remain, then bring to a boil.
Add milk mixture along with salt and pepper and bring to a boil, and then simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve garnished with the cream.
