Ingredients

Potatoes, boiled and peeled 500 g

Ghee (Clarified butter) 2 tbsp (30 g)

Ajwain (thymol seeds) 1 tsp

Finely shredded ginger 1 tbsp

Dahi (yogurt) 1/2 cup (100 gms)

Senda namak (rock salt) 2 tsp
-
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp

Green chillies, chopped coarsely 3-4

Preparation

Break potatoes, by holding in your hand and closing the fist, and keep aside till required.
Heat ghee, add ajwain then the ginger and saute till slightly fried.
Add dahi a little at a time and stir fry till the fat separates.
Add salt and chilli powder, mix well and add potatoes and green chillies and turn around over high heat, till they look slightly fried.
Add 2 cups water (or according to taste), and bring mixture to a boil, then simmer uncovered for about 15minutes. Serve hot with poories of kootoo ka atta.
