                                          Soak the daal overnight. Grind in a mixer coarsely. Beat with a wooden spoon, adding salt, baking powder, pinch of hing, roasted cumin powder, little ajwain. Take a micowave safe bowl with close fitting lid (preferably square), apply 1/2 tsp oil on the bowl, put in the daal mixture, close the lid tightly and cook in microwave (HI) for 6-7 min. Cool the mixture which is set by this time, turn it over on a plate, cut into small sqaure or diamonds. Heat Oil in wok, deep fry the squares till golden brown, drain and keep aside.
 
Heat oil in a micosafe bowl for 2 min, put in the ginger pastecorriander cumin, turmeric powder made into a paste, add tomatoes sliced small, green chillies slit, and cook on HI for 3-4 min, stirring continuosly. Sprinkle little water if necessary.  Add the fried squares, add salt to taste, add 1/4 cup of water, cover and cook for 4 mins at 80%. Add sugar, sprinkle roasted cumin powder, cook for 1 min. Serve with rice or roti.
