Masalewali Chai (Spiced tea )

Spiced tea preparation very popular on a rainy or cold day

  • Water 1 cups
  • Milk cup
  • Tea leaves, long 1 tsp
  • Tea leaves, dark and strong 1 tsp
  • Chhoti Elaichi(green cardamom), slightly crushed 1
  • Ginger, finely chopped tsp
  • Saunf (fennel seeds) 1 tsp
  • Sugar to taste


  • Bring the water to a boil, and add the tea leaves, elaichi, ginger and saunf and simmer for a minute or two.
  • Add the milk, let it come to a boil once more, strain into cups, and serve.
