Ingredients

Atta (whole wheat flour) 1 ½ cups

Ghee ¼ cup (60 g), melted and cooled

Sugar ½ cup (120 g)

Milk ½ cup (120 g) approx.

Baking soda (Meetha soda ) 1/8 tsp
-
Salt ½ tsp
-
Ghee for pan frying the rotis

Preparation

Dissolve the sugar in half the milk over low heat and cool.
Mix the soda and salt into the atta. Rub the ghee into the atta, and knead into firm dough with the milk solution, adding more milk if required.
Press into ¼” thick rounds, prick and cook over low heat, smearing ghee over and around the roti.
