Til ke Laddoo (A sesame seed sweet)

  • Gur (Molasses), broken into small pieces 150 g
  • Milk 180 g (3/4 cup)
  • Safed Til (White Sesame seeds) 150 g (1 cups)
  • Ghee (Clarified Butter) 1 tbsp
  • A greased thali or marble slab to set the mixture in


  • Place the gur and milk in a kadahi and melt over low heat. Once melted increase the heat and cook to a hard ball consistency.
  • Mix in the peanuts and the ghee and spread the mixture on to the greased surface, flattening if need be and leave to set.

  • When cool enough to handle, take spoonfuls and form into smooth rounds and leave to cool.
