Green Mango Raita

A cooling seasonal, tangy yogurt preparation

Type: Dahi/Yogurt Serving: 4-6


  • Raw Mango, peeled and chopped fine 1 cups
  • Cucumber, chopped fine 1 cups
  • Salt 1 tbsp or to taste
  • Sugar 2 tsp or to taste
  • Hara Dhania (Coriander leaves) chopped cup
  • Bhuna pissa zeera (Roasted, ground cumin) 1 tsp
  • Dahi (Yogurt), beaten smooth 3 cups (600g)
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Rai (Mustard seeds) 2 tsp
  • Kadhi patta (Curry leaves) 15-20
  • Green chilly, slit 2-3


  • Mix the mango, cucumber, salt, sugar, dhania, zeera and dahi.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and keep aside.

  • Heat oil, add rai, kadhi patta and hari mirch, saute a little, remove the green chillies and pour the mixture over the raita.

  • Chill, garnish with the green chillies and serve.
