Steamed Prawns

Type: Fish/Seafood Serving: To be served with hot steamed rice Cooking Time: 15 minutes


  • Ingredients:
  • Prawns  1kg (cleaned and deveined )                                                                  
  • mustard seeds 100gms(yellow)
  • coconut milk powder 4tsps
  • green chillies 4
  • ginger 1.5" pc
  • yoghurt 1/2 cup whisked
  • Mustard oil 2 tbsps,                                                         turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves


  • 1. Grind mustard, ginger, green chillies finely
  • 2. Put the prawns in a bowl with lid. Put the ground mustard, turmeric powder. salt, coconut milk powder, whisked yoghurt, mustard oiland mix well copver the bowl with its lid

  • 3. Put the bowl in aparessure cooker andsteam the prawns for 15 minutes

  • 4. Remove from fire garnish with coriander leaves and slit green chillies.

  • 5. Serve hot with steamed rice
