Ingredients

Semolina (Rava/Soojee) ¾ cup (90 g)

Yogurt (dahi), sour 1 cup (200 g)

Salt 1 tsp or to taste

Oil 1 tbsp (15 g)

Baking soda ¾ tsp

Curry leaves (kadhi patta) 6-7 ]

Mustard (sarson) seeds ½ tsp ] for seasoning

Oil 1 tbsp (15 g) ]

Preparation

Heat the oil and add the curry leaves and mustard seeds. Keep aside.
Mix the semolina and yogurt to a smooth batter and add salt and oil. Mix the mustard seasoning into the batter and keep aside in a warm place for about an hour.
Put the idli maker over heat with water in it.
As soon as the idli maker is ready add the baking soda to the batter, mix and spoon some batter into each mould. Steam for 15-20 minutes and serve hot.
