Ingredients

Oven Temp: 375 F-180 C

Milk ˝ litre (2 ˝ cups)

Semolina (Soojee) 90 g (3/4 cup)

Eggs, separated 2
-
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
-
Sugar 120 g (1/2 cup )

Almonds, shredded and roasted, to garnish

A greased oven proof serving dish

Preparation

Mix the semolina in some milk, till mixed well without lumps, and add the rest of the milk. Bring the mixture to a boil, and then simmer till a little thick—about 10 minutes.
Take the pan off the heat and add the sugar and vanilla.
Beat the egg yolks, add the milk mixture to it and mix well. Leave to cool.
When cool and beginning to set beat the egg-whites stiff and fold into the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the dish, sprinkle the nuts over it and bake in a pre-heated oven for 30-35 minutes.
