Ingredients

Prawns, shelled and deveined 250 g
-
1tbsp lemon juice and 1 tsp salt to marinate the prawns

Oil 2 tbsp

Mustard leaves (Sarson) 1 tsp

Ginger, shredded thinly 1 tbsp
-
Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta) ¼ cup

Green chillies, slit 2-3
-
Tomato, grated ½ cup (approx. 125 g)

Salt to taste or 1 tsp

Chilli powder ½ tsp
-
Coriander (Dhania ) powder 2 tsp
-
Coconut milk 1 cup
-
Coriander leaves (hara dhania ) for garnish

Preparation

Marinate the prawns in the lemon juice and salt for 10 minutes and wash well. Leave to drain in a colander.
Heat the oil and add the mustard seeds. When they splutter, add the ginger and sauté till slightly colored.
Add the curry leaves and green chillies. Turn around 3-4 times and add the tomato.
Add the salt, chilli powder and coriander powder and stir fry till fat separates.
Add the prawns and stir fry till the prawns turn pink and coil up.
Add the coconut milk and ½ cup water and simmer for 2 minutes till well blended.
Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
