Papite ka Halwa

  • Raw papaya, peeled and grated 3 cups (500 g)
  • Sugar cup
  • Chhoti elaichi, slightly crushed 3-4
  • Ghee cup
  • Kishmish 2 3 tbsp
  • Akhrot (Walnuts), chopped coarsely cup


  • Place the papaya and sugar in a kadahi along with cup water.
  • Cook till papaya is tender, add the elaichi, stir a little more and keep aside.

  • Heat ghee and add the kishmish and akhrot, saute a little then take out a few for garnish.

  • Add the papaya mixture and stir fry till well mixed.

  • Serve hot, garnished with the rest of the kishmish and akhrot.
