Green Coconut Chutney

A chutney of fresh coconut and coriander leaves

  • Fresh coconut, grated 2 cups (1 whole) Hara Dhania (Coriander leaves), chopped 2 cups (125 g)
  • Hari Mirch (green chilli), roughly chopped 1/4 cup (25 g), or to taste
  • Garlic, chopped 1 tbsp
  • Ginger, chopped 1 tbsp
  • Onion, roughly chopped 1 cup ( 125 g)
  • Salt 4 tsp or to taste
  • Sugar 1 tbsp or to taste
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp


  • Grind all the ingredients together, to a fine paste, either on a stone or in a food processor, with the help of as little water, as possible. The seasoning can be adjusted according to taste.
