Khasta Roti (Rich, flat bread)

  • 2 Cups atta (whole-wheat flour)
  • 4 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Cup milk.
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera (Cumin seeds )
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee to add while making the rotis


  • Mix baking powder, cumin seeds, salt and 4 tsp ghee with the flour thoroughly.
  • Add milk and knead to soft dough.

  • Make balls of the dough and roll out like rotis and fry on a tawa, adding ghee, over a medium flame.

  • Serve it with butter.
